March, April, Grandma and Easter

MARCH was pretty uneventful. We did get to sort of celebrate Zach's b-day. No cake, of course, that would be fun and Zach's just not into that kind of stuff :-) However, we did get to spend a long weekend in Island Park at the cabin snowmachining, sledding, building a "snowmommy" and my favorite -- swimming and thawing in the hot tubs.

I love this photo -- it's the only one I think I'll ever get of Bryton being nice (trying to give Ty a kiss) and Ty being the stubborn one. So backwards from normal.

Ty and his "snowmommy" we built in the front of the cabin.

Bryton and Ty in the kids pool -- yes Ty has the lifejacket on and Bryton's just having fun - no fear at all.

Bryton going under. She loved the water and was under the water more than above it seemed.

APRIL & Grandma Doris. Eight years ago on April 6th my grandpa passed away. On April 6th of this year I called home to just check in and my dad told me my mom had taken my grandma to the hospital after stopping in to see her at the assisted living home where she lives. My grandma had Alzheimers Dz and was unable to speak but my mom could tell she was in pain. At the hospital we found out she was in renal failure. On April 8th she passed away. She was one of the most amazing people I know and one of my favorites (of course along with my grandpa). They were like parents with as much as they were around supporting everything we did. I can't find the words to describe the love I have for her in my heart. I was able to make it to the hospital to say goodbye just minutes before she passed away. I'm so grateful for that. I hope she knew how much she meant to me and all her family. As much as it hurt to see her go, I'm sure her reunion with her eternal companion was extremely joyous. I love you Grandma.

EASTER. I guess Easter meant a little more to me this year, I'm thankful for the sacrifice of our Savior so I can see my Grandma again. Although, it was bitter-sweet, we did enjoy Easter.

Us coloring Easter Eggs last minute. My grandma's funeral was earlier this day so we had a mad rush to get these done. I look horrible from all the crying I did that day.

Although I'd have to say we all looked better than Zach :-) I don't know if he was just really tired or this is the way he feels about celebrating commercially.

Ty getting help for a Easter treat. The Easter Bunnies went a little crazy this year since their was 5 of them.

I hope everyone had a great Easter!
